Thomas the train

Good evening crafters.  Tonight I saw an image cut on the Art Philosophy cartridge that made me think of the front of a train, and while I am in the mode of making Hershey bar covers for halloween, I thought I would give Thomas the train a shot.
I used the Colorbok paper frome walmart for these. I used the image on page 48 and cut it at 3 inches
in black.  Then I cut a strip of red paper and cut it at 4 and 1/2 by one inch and rounded the top 2 corners, then I cut a strip of bloack at 4 and 1/4 by 3/4 inches and rounded the corners too.

In Gray cardstock I cut the circle face at 2 inches and used a punch that was a small oval for the nose.   for the lights above I cut out 2 yellow circles at 1 inch and 2 black ones at 3/4 inch. the smaoke stack is 2 inches by 3/4 inches.  I used googles eyes for the eyes and black micron pen for the eyebrows and mouth.  Tim Holtz Barn Red was used for the cheeks and nose and white gel pen for the dots on the cheeks.  I used a i and 1/2 inc circle punch for a pumpkin and made a stem. Here and there I made hilight lines and Voila!! Thomas the Train Halloween goodie.  I use the Art Philosophy Cartridge Soooo much. If you do not have it..get it here..you will be GLAD you did!!

Sweet Minions

Sweet Minions

Recently I sat down to craft and I thought I would try to make some little Minion covered Hershey bars...so I pulled out some yellow, white black and blue paper.  I also figured I would need some punches. So I took out what I had for circle punches.  For the 2 eyed minions...6x6" yellow cardstock. brown cardstock for the glasses. for the 2 lenses..I used the Artiste cartridge and cut out the Letter "o" lower case at one inch..2 of them, the white of the eye I used a 1/2 inch circle punch, and a regular punch for the black of his eyes.
for the Single lens guy, I used brown cardstock, and the 1 3/4" circle punch..punched a circle, then took a pencil to mark the center... and then took a 1 1/2 inch circle punch took 1 and 3/4 circle, lined up the pencil dot to the center and punched, so I would end up with a brown ring..If you know of an easier way, please let me know:)  For the white of the eye, a 1 1/4 in circle punch. black of the eye, 1/2 circle.

For the pants, I found some light blue CS, cut it at 1 and 3/4 inches by 6 inches on some and 1 and 1/4  by 6 inches on others.  I then free hand cut some strips of the blue for staps and a pocket.  I then did faux stitching and hilighting and added tiny buttons. For the hair strips of black  and drem him a smile.

To finish them off I made some pumpkins with my circle and oval punches.  I inked them with Tim Holts Red barn and free hand cut stems.

Oh...and do not forget the CHOCOLATE!!
Hope you like them and if you are unsure of any of the directions..message me.

A few circles.. a Lot of fun!!

Good evening friends, I had a few fmore cards to share with you from my card making class thei past weekend.  I cut a few different size circles and inked them with CTMH ink, Desert Sand (Z2118) to start on my road to creating snowmen.  I kind of wanted to give them some personality, So I did not stack the circles perfectly on  top  of each other. I off centered them, and I liked how it looked.  I used Stampin ups large oval punch and made the hat and scarf.  the nose (carrot) I just hand cut abd inked with Tim Holtz barn red Distrees ink.  I used the snowflake stamp from the CTMH  Frosted Workshop on the GO kit (G1063).
I also used the stamp set Flakey Friends, and ink, Twilight(Z2160).  I used the micron pen and white gel pen for the eyes. added some buttons and bling.

4 my friend

For my friend...
Good evening friends,  what a fun day today was, so sad it is over.  With today being World carmaking day, I hosted a card creating class today in my home.  A few of my friends came and we made Christmas cards and tags and gift card holders. We shared ideas, snacks and lots of laughter!

What we made I do not have prepared to show you tonight, beacuse I have not taken any pics yet, but I did have some pictures of a few cards I made for a customer. and she picked these up and ordered 2 more.  I will have to get them made up quickly tomorrow cause she is a snowbird heading south for the winter.

on the first card I love the peach color..and if you can see the off white crocheted flowers on the left side...I got them from my daughter in law, she got them from some curtains that fell apart in the wash, lol, how cool is that???

this card my favorite  part is the bow, it is from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Company..LOVE their ribbon.   That is why I joined their CLUB.  And it is the first Double Ribbon I attempted.. I like how it came out.

And last but not least..PINK..one of my favorite colors :)

Hope you enjoyed my cards today and hope you will come back!!
